Anti reflective glass is used in places where the transparency and clarity of the glass is of greater importance. An AR glass offers greater transparency. It is crystal clear. The transparency and clarity of these glasses would not diminish even with sizable variations in the light.


While conventional glass becomes unclear when the light bends against the pane, an AR glass remains clear always. It is because of this very feature that these glasses are becoming very much demanded these days.


Anti reflection glass are used for a wide range of purposes such as display windows, museums, VIP seating areas, showrooms, glass cabinets, televisions, cameras, studies, facades, foyers, balustrades, lobbies, panorama restaurants, etc. And as anti reflective glass is being used increasingly these days in commercial places and houses, their demand has gone up.


If you are planning to buy AR glass for any purpose, do proper researches so that you wouldn’t end up buying cheap quality glasses. Always go for CE certified glasses. Make sure that the glass has minimum reflection on both sides. A standard anti reflective glass will have about 1% residual reflection while the transmission will be about 98%.


AR glass is durable. They would last several years longer than normal glasses. So even if you don’t require a glass with minimum reflection or increased clarity, it is highly recommended to go for AR glass because of their increased durability.

CE certification is the basic quality standard you can check before buying an anti reflective glass. Remember that AR glass come in a variety of models, say as different substrate glasses. Some of these models can be differentiated on the basis of their processing options, say laminated safety glass, insulating glass units and tempered safety glass.


Recent reports indicate that many of the modern innovations use anti reflection glass. By its default nature, AR glass is not usable in many scenarios. However, they are made usable by way of sol-gel dipping process. Here, the glasses will be immersed in metal oxide solutions before they are used.
